After an intensive process, the Pastoral Search Committee selected Reverend Joshua Suh as our top pastoral candidate. (View Search Committee Process) Joshua is currently serving as the lead pastor of a small English-speaking congregation which is part of a larger Korean church in Marietta, GA. Joshua was born and raised in the western U.S., began his ministry in Korea, and has been serving in Georgia for the last three years. Joshua’s biography is here, and you can see a Question & Answer video Tyler Hogan recorded with Joshua. Additionally, you can view Joshua’s current church’s website and listen to archived sermons. Reverend Suh, his wife Danah (pronounced like “Donna”) and their five-year-old son Nathanael will be visiting Grace Church from October 29 to November 1.
We invite you to attend church in person or by live stream on November 1, 2020 when Reverend Suh will participate in our 9:15 worship service and deliver the sermon.
Finally, we are pleased to notify you that the Session has called a congregation meeting at the church for 10:30 A.M. on November 8, 2020. The purpose of the meeting is to vote to approve the call of Reverend Joshua Suh as our new associate pastor. Everyone can remain in their seats (whether in sanctuary, gym, or pavilion) after the worship service. We’ll need to allow just a few minutes for parents to pick up kids in children’s worship; then the congregational meeting will begin. Everyone can attend the meeting, but only official members of Grace may vote. We will need at least 61 members to be able to conduct the meeting, but we hope that as many members as possible will be present to participate in this exciting opportunity to confirm God’s will in adding a new pastor to our staff. (Our denominational procedures do not allow for absentee or proxy voting).
