This fifth Sunday of Lent our Scripture texts wake us up to the truth that whatever we are giving on our journey to the cross, is not to be compared to what Christ has given up for us. Therefore we ought to be immersed in the humility that grace produces. In this sermon we will learn how to deal with the subtle pride of boasting in our sacrifices for God by learning to value the truth that he gives more grace.
