The church has a globalist agenda; making known to the world that the Father sent the Son to make his love known. Christ’s final prayer is very instructive for the identity and work of the church. In Jesus’ prayer we see the heart of the Savior as he prays to the Father. Jesus’ heart reveals that the world needs to know that the Father sent him and has loved his them even as he has loved his Son. This sermon will show from the text what is of central importance and how it is to accomplished.
