Peace on earth is what the human heart has longed for. Many are saying that the way to save the earth is to leave the earth. Who decides on how to save the earth? Saving the earth has to have the goal of bringing peace between its inhabitants. There is no saving the earth without people being reconciled to one another. Peace, at the very least, means being reconciled. The announcement is peace on the earth for those on whom God’s favor rests. The earth isn’t saved by those who want to leave it, but it is saved by the One who is has come down to it. He is called the Prince of Peace. It is only when we have this Prince will the peace we crave find its satisfaction.
