The goal of our youth ministry is to help our young people become passionate followers of Jesus Christ.
- Grow in a personal relationship with Christ.
- Seek to know God by learning how to study Scripture
- Identify with the community of Christ and be under spiritual authority
- Be outwardly oriented through evangelism and service (share the Gospel in word & deed).
To fulfill this youth ministry we offer a wide variety of programs, including missions opportunities, Bible studies, day trips, and fellowship time.
Sundays at 11:15 AM, September-May
Junior and Senior High students meet separately for Sunday School where the focus is on gaining Bible knowledge and training in how to study the Bible. While the subject is deep, the teacher works hard to bring the material alive.
Sundays at 5 – 7 PM
Senior and Junior High students join together for Youth Group, meeting twice a month on Sundays for fellowship building activities, games, worship and a Bible exhortation. Also, twice a month students meet with others in their age group for special activities and outings. A yearly highlight is the Reality Factor Retreat experience, with over 300 students and leaders from our region coming together to be challenged in their commitment to Jesus Christ.
Culture of Service
We want our youth to have a heart to serve. We always encourage Junior and Senior High students to minister to younger kids in our children’s ministry [elementary ministry (Sunday Funday), Children’s Worship, and VBS. Our youth ministry often undertakes service projects like leaf raking at the homes of elderly neighbors, yard work at the women’s shelter, and caroling at local nursing homes. The pinnacle of this is a yearly, week-long, mission trip in the summer.
