Sermon by Kenny Foster, Senior Pastor, from Psalm 30:1-12 & Revelation 5:11-14.
As we continue celebrating our Risen Savior, the power of his resurrection has great implications for our suffering and grief. Our reading tells us that God is able to turn mourning into dancing. Mourning is something that all human beings have in common. But the transformation of one’s mourning into dancing is only for those who trust in Christ who died, (a cause for mourning), and rose from the dead, (a cause for dancing).  But how does one apply the power of Christ’s resurrection to their mourning? The Psalmist shows us how to turn mourning into dancing, thus appropriating the power of the resurrection in our lives, creating praise for Jesus Christ forever.
